Eilon Engineering Crane Scales

Products to Choose From

Eilon Engineering offers an entire suite of hanging crane scales and overhead crane scales. Each of these products comes with dozens of customization options. You can select all sorts of different features including extended battery life, data logger, and specialized outputs. No matter what you may need in order to make your project a success, Eilon Engineering can help you get the crane scale to fit the job.
Eilon Engineering offers both wired and wireless crane scales. If you are interested in a wireless crane scale that you can communicate with over a distance, then the Ron 2501H may be the one for you. If you are in need of a product that offers an LCD display so that operators can easily read the force measurements, then the Ron 2125H and the Ron 2150H, both with an attachable display, are great choices. Lastly, if you want to protect your crane scale against potential damage, then the Ron 3025 and Ron 3050 offer a heavy duty cage to offer protection from impacts.

2000H Wired Crane Scales
The Ron 2000 is a wired crane scale that displays the mass on a handheld remote. There are models capable of handling as little as 0.5 tons and up to 30 tons, with headroom loss ranging from 9.3 inches to 28.9 inches, depending on the model.
2125H Wired Crane Scales
The Ron 2125 has a wired overhead crane scale with a simple-to-use remote. It can be purchased in models ranging from a maximum load of 0.5 tons to 30 tons, with headroom loss from 9.3 inches to 28.9 inches. Ron 2125’s 1”/25mm display is attachable in capacities up to 12.5t
2150H Wired Crane Scales
The Ron 2150 is very similar to the 2125, except it features a much larger, 2”/50mm display. This model is available for maximum loads of 0.5 tons to 30 tons, with headroom losses from 9.3 inches to 28.3 inches.
2501 Wireless Crane Scale
The Ron 2501 H is a wireless crane scale with a handheld remote and display. This model is available in capacities from 0.5 tons to 32 tons. Depending on the load requirements, the Ron 2501’s headroom loss is only 9.3 inches for the 0.5 ton model to 28.9 inches for the 30 ton model.
Crane Scale with Protective Cage
The Ron 3025 is designed for low-headroom applications. In fact, it has the smallest headroom loss on the market, but its small form factor is surprisingly capable and rugged. It is available with maximum loads up from 0.5 tons to 12.5 tons, with headroom losses ranging from 13.2 inches to 21.8 inches. Ron 3025 is available with an optional protective cage.
Crane Scale with Protective Cage
The Ron 3050 is a bigger brother to the Ron 3025, featuring a 2”/50mm display instead of a 1”/25mm display. It can handle loads from 0.5 tons to 15 tons, losing only 13.2 to 24.6 inches of headroom. The Ron 3050 is also available with the optional protective cage, just like its little brother.

You may be curious where crane scales are commonly used. As it turns out, there are a lot of different industries that rely on crane scales. The main industries that rely on crane scales are:

  • Aerospace industry
  • Crane Manufacturers
  • Entertainment Industry
  • Oil and Gas
  • Industrial Manufacturers
  • Wind Turbines
  • Safety Inspections

As you can see, there are a lot of different areas that utilize crane scales, but what exactly do they use them for? One common use case is for performing proof tests on cranes, hoists, and any other load bearing structures. This way you can perform routine tests in a controlled safe environment to be sure that your equipment is still good to hold up to its maximum load.
Another common use is in Foundries. These allow you to accurately measure the amount of molten material that is being placed into a crucible or ladle. Another common use case is weighing incoming and outgoing shipments. If you were a manufacturer, this would allow you to easily weigh outgoing products. If you were weighing incoming shipments, electronic crane scales can make it very easy to quickly know how much things weigh.

If you are looking for a crane weighing system, then you want to be certain that it is safe. You don’t want a crane scale to fail while in operation. This could result in damaged product, damaged equipment, and could even lead to injury or death. As such, you want to be sure that the equipment you are using is up for the job. Any load bearing structure that is subject to repeated load-unload cycles is susceptible to fatigue. For this reason Eilon Engineering only manufactures crane scales with aerospace steel while using designs that are fatigue rated.

Fatigue rated means that the load cells are designed in such a way that they can withstand a practically unlimited number of load cycles without the load bearing components weakening. Think of most of the objects you use on a regular basis. The more you use them, the more they wear out until eventually they break, and you need to replace them. Fatigue rated systems offer an excellent benefit that is practically infinite fatigue life.
What this means is that as long as a certain stress level is never exceeded (the system rated capacity), the load cell is capable of having loads applied to it and removed from it a practically infinite number of times without failing. The amount of weight that would cause that stress level to be exceeded will vary from load cell to load cell although it will never be lower than the load rating of the crane scale. This is one great reason why you can rely on Eilon Engineering to provide you with a reliable measurement system that can withstand the test of time.

Crane scales can be confusing and intimidating, but they don’t have to be. If you are in the market to get a new crane scale but aren’t sure what exactly to ask for, that doesn’t matter. Our crane scale specialists are ready and waiting to help you out in finding the perfect product for your project.

Our crane scale experts can discuss with you what you are trying to do, the specific requirements you have, and what you would like to have in a crane scale. From there, we can find a perfect hand-picked solution for your problem. So whether you are trying to lift up a rocket in preparation of a launch, or trying to weigh your next shipment of manufactured goods, give us a call at Eilon Engineering and we can help you make that happen.

Whether you work in oil and gas, as a crane manufacturer, a commercial space exploration company, or in any sort of industrial manufacturing, you likely have the need to weigh things. Whether that means weighing the product that you have manufactured or weighing the load being lifted by a crane, you can utilize a crane scale in order to do this.
