High Temperature Package

Foundries and other high-temperature industries such as galvanizing facilities can greatly benefit from the addition of a high-accuracy weight monitoring system.

Foundries can gain greater control over the composition of their metal by directly weighing the addition of small additives and gain precision in the dosing control for mold pouring by monitoring the actual real-time weight of the ladle.

Galvanizing facilities can easily measure the before and after weights of parts as they undergo treatment, making control and invoicing a precise matter.

The main issue with this application is the high-temperature environment that is capable of destroying delicate electronics often found in load cells and crane scales.

Eilon Engineering offers a package of options specifically intended for such high-temperature applications.

Wireless load cells can be equipped with a heat-resistant jacket and a reflecting metal heat shield. These options make it possible for Eilon Engineering load cells to operate for prolonged periods in such environments.

For extremely high temperatures, such as those found in a foundry, we also offer an internal thermometer that provides live temperature monitoring of the inside of the load cell and can give warnings before the load cell overheats.
