Available capacities: 0.5–30 tons.
Available capacities: 0.5–300 tons.
This depends on your application and intended use. If your application would benefit from having the operator remain at a safe distance from the lifted load, then a wireless load cell is a good choice. Wireless load cells are particularly beneficial in high-capacity applications.
We offer a range of remote receivers: from our standard hand-held indicator to more advanced receivers that can display multiple lifting points on a single load cell map. And, we now offer a portable Bluetooth receiver that can connect to your smartphone or tablet.
It depends on the type of system you’re using, and we offer several solutions for multi-point lifting and weighing. For example, the Ron StageMaster 6000G5 can monitor up to 200 load cells on a single computer. However, by using multiple monitoring stations, this number can be expanded to a virtually limitless capability.

Wireless load cell applications
Wireless load cells have a wide range of uses across countless applications. But as they say, you need the right tool for the job. Here are common applications along with the most suitable wireless load cell models for each scenario.
Logistics and warehouse management
A wireless load cell is a valuable tool in logistics and warehouse management. They’re commonly used for the weighing of inbound and outbound goods, which helps with inventory management by confirming shipment weights.
They’re also used for weighing bulky or irregular loads, saving time and floor space compared to a floor scale. Finally, wireless load cells can be used to make sure cranes or other lifting systems aren’t overloaded, or to help confirm weights to optimize truck and container loads.

Marine applications and bollard pull test
There are several marine and offshore applications where a quality wireless load cell will play a vital role. For instance, a load cell can be used to weigh fishing nets with large catches like tuna or swordfish, or more tracking marine life.
On oil rigs and platforms, they’re used for lifting and weighing equipment, for derrick proof load tests, and more.
Wireless load cells are also the perfect tool for conducting bollard pull tests to measure the power of a tugboat.
For all of these applications, a wireless system is best, especially where the operator needs to remain at a safe distance from the lifted load, or when running a cable through or near water would pose a challenge.

Weighing in foundries
When weighing molten metal in a foundry, you’ll need a wireless load cell that can stand the heat—literally!
In hot environments, wireless load cells can be used to determine the amount of metallurgical additives added to a ladle. Or, sometimes workers will need to measure the total weight of the molten metal in the ladle.
For this, a wireless system is a must since it lets workers maintain a safe distance from the ladle. And there’s no need to worry about a cable being close to the heat source.

Entertainment and stage rigging
As entertainment and stage events grow larger and more complex, the need for reliable load monitoring also increases. In many live performances, several tons of equipment are hung above performers and audiences, and an overload in this situation could end in tragedy.
Today, wireless load cells play a vital role in stage safety, load monitoring, and overload prevention. By transmitting real-time data to operators and riggers from multiple lifting points, wireless load cells allow for swift preventative action to keep crowds safe.

Pioneering wireless load cell technology
In 1993, we pioneered the incorporation of wireless communication into our weighing systems. This was a huge leap forward in load cell technology.
Our systems use radio frequency technology to transfer weight measurements from the load cell body to a remote hand-held indicator. Like in any digital scale or weight measurement system, a sensor called a strain gauge records the weight of the lifted load by sensing the slight deformation of the load cell when weight or force is applied.
But in a wireless system, a transmitter processes the electric signal from the sensor and broadcasts it wirelessly to the receiver.
With more than 30 years of experience in perfecting wireless load cell communication, our systems lead the field in performance and battery life, and offer a standard wireless range of up to 150 meters.
We offer a variety of receivers including:
- Hand-held indicator, capable of displaying measurements from up to 8 individual load cells or the combined total of their loads.
- Standard Radio Receiver for use with laptops. Allows for display of measurement data of up to 100 load cells on a real-time load map.
- Premium Radio Receiver for use with laptops. Allows for display of measurement data of up to 200 load cells on a real-time load map.
But our wireless load cell development didn’t stop in the ‘90s. After further research and development, we now offer an advanced Bluetooth receiver for wireless communication with tablets and smartphones.
- Allows for transmission of measurement data of up to 75 load cells to any smartphone or tablet. Loads can be displayed as a real-time load map, table, or bar graph.
Classic Eilon wireless load cell vs. shackle pin load cell
We offer two wireless load cell models: our classic load cell body design, and a pin-shackle load cell.
The classic design is robust yet lightweight with 90-degree offset shackle holes. This configuration minimizes the influence of external moments during lifting and rigging, enhancing both safety and accuracy.
In contrast, the shackle pin load cell integrates the strain gauge directly into the shackle's pin, resulting in a compact design that offers minimal headroom loss—only about 2.4 inches (61mm).

Wireless load cells: testimonials
Eilon Engieering’s five decades of experience have led to countless satisfied customers. Here are a few highlights of how our wireless load cells and weighing systems have been put to good use.
Company: TechCon Engenharia Consultiva
Contact: Leonardo Roncetti, Engineer
Quote: We have been using Eilon Engineering load cells for more than three years with expressive success. As our tasks are always dangerous, like load tests and lifting operations, one of the most important features of Eilon´s equipment is reliability. With a safety factor of 5/1, we are very comfortable using this equipment.
Another great feature is the wireless system, also very reliable. So, we can stay far from load test areas, improving the safety of our crew..

Quote: The RSM wireless load cells have aided in the safe rigging of my production while saving valuable time not running cables. The ease with which the cells can be moved from one hoist to another is amazing. No more cables and confusion about which cell belongs to what cable. The software is easy to run and wireless load cells seem to be very accurate.
