My name is Martin Gehring, I'm one of the owners of Dart GmbH, a rigging company based in Germany, founded in 1993.
I think I can say that we've been one of the first users of the RonStagemaster Load Cell System in Europe.
The system convinced us because of it's easy installation which is as we all know very essential when you go out on tour.
We've been involved recently in the planning and touring of the last Rammstein tour, a 20 truck and 40tons of weight production which was out on tour all over Europe in 2009/10.
The show has a lot of moving elements and a mothergrid which was flown on 15 x 2ton motors. For each of those 2tons we used a RonStagemaster load cell.
This was the only safe way to make sure that the mothergrid was leveled right for every show so that the weight distribution mirrored what we had in our rigging plot.
It is obvious that when it comes to a large grid with dynamic loads there is no way that you can just level it by using tape measures. The weight distribution would be every day different.
To be able to control the weight every day helped us also to get approval for smaller venues from house engineers where we've been very close to the overall weight capacity of the roof.
In summer 2010 Rammstein played 24 festivals from Scandinavia all over Europe to Italy and Canada. We traveled with two complete lighting systems and we had a set of load cells on each system.
We are very satisfied not only with the two systems of RonStagemaster Load Cells we own but even more with the good support and constant developing from Eilon Engineering.
